Xavi's wish. Barcelona will try to buy the leader of Real Sociedad

At yesterday's meeting between Barcelona's head coach, Xavi, sporting director Deco, and president Joan Laporta, a decision was made regarding the priority targets for the upcoming summer transfer window.

According to Diario Sport, Xavi's main desire is to sign a new central midfielder who, in terms of playing style, could potentially replace Sergio Busquets.

The player Xavi insists on for transfer is Real Sociedad's central midfielder, Martin Zubimendi. If Barcelona manages to overcome its financial difficulties, it will do everything possible to acquire Zubimendi.

Zubimendi himself commented on the rumors of Barcelona's interest in saying:

"I'm happy at Real Sociedad, it's like my home, but I can't say that I will play my whole career at Real Sociedad, I don't worry about rumors".

In the current season, Zubimendi has played 44 matches, scoring 4 goals and providing 1 assist.
