Xavi Won’t Join Inter Miami: What Do Messi and Alba Have to Do With It?

Barcelona legend Xavi, once considered a top candidate for the head coach position at Inter Miami, will not take the reins of the MLS club.

Details: According to Sport.es, Miami has ruled out Xavi due to strained relationships with some of his former Barcelona teammates.

It is reported that his relationship with Lionel Messi, once strong, has cooled in recent times.

Even more notable is his relationship with Jordi Alba, which has completely broken down, with the two no longer in contact.

Previously, it was suggested that another leading candidate for the Inter Miami head coach role is Javier Mascherano.

Reminder: Inter Miami were crowned regular-season MLS champions but suffered a surprising playoff elimination at the hands of Atlanta United.
