Xavi has discussed whether Barcelona can sign Haaland or Mbappé

Barcelona's head coach, Xavi, mentioned that the club isn't considering signing Erling Haaland from Manchester City or Kylian Mbappé from PSG. According to the manager of the Catalan team, the club doesn't possess the corresponding financial capabilities.

“Haaland or Mbappé? We can’t think of Haaland or Mbappé to join Barça now. We can’t afford these players, unfortunately. I’m happy with the players I have. We need to reach our best level as at this club we need to be always at top level” said Xavi.

It's worth noting that Mbappé's contract with PSG expires in June. Both parties have yet to reach an agreement for an extension, allowing the forward to sign a pre-contract with another club. Real Madrid and Liverpool are among the contenders for the French forward.

Barcelona currently holds the fourth position in the La Liga table. On January 4th, Xavi's team will play against Las Palmas.
