Xabi Alonso wants to make Rodrygo one of the team’s key players

Rodrygo did not make the most convincing start to the new season at Real Madrid under Xabi Alonso, but in recent matches he has begun to score and make a decisive contribution to results.

Details: According to Marca, Xabi Alonso is now ready to turn Rodrygo into one of the team’s key players. He wants the Brazilian to receive the ball more often and for more of the play to go through him. At this point, Rodrygo has become a regular starter and one of Xabi Alonso’s favourites.

In his last four matches, Rodrygo has scored two goals and provided one assist. Until mid-December, he had registered just a single assist for the team.

We also previously reported that over the past few months Vinícius has grown increasingly frustrated with head coach Xabi Alonso. However, that is not all. He is also unhappy with the fans and the club’s management, who refused to extend his contract.

Reminder: 19-year-old Real Madrid forward Endrick will leave the Galácticos this winter and join French side Lyon on loan.
