Xabi Alonso admits whether he feels supported by Real Madrid’s hierarchy
Real Madrid are winless in three consecutive matches, and rumours surrounding a possible change of head coach are growing louder. Xabi Alonso has now spoken publicly, addressing the situation and his relationship with the club’s leadership.
Details: Speaking ahead of the UEFA Champions League match against Olympiacos, Alonso stated that he does not need public expressions of support from the board. He has already spoken with the club’s executives and believes everything is in order.
Quote: “Messages of support from the club? There is no need. I spoke with the president this morning, and also with José Ángel. Our daily communication is what keeps our relationship strong,” Alonso said.
Real Madrid currently sit top of the La Liga table with 32 points after 13 rounds, holding a one-point lead over Barcelona.
Earlier, we reported that several key Real Madrid players have staged a revolt, urging the club’s leadership to dismiss head coach Xabi Alonso.
Reminder: Vinicius is reportedly struggling to find common ground with the Galácticos’ manager.
