Wydad coach rejects a South African player!

Press reports indicated the Wydad club's interest in South African Lebo Mothiba, who suffered an injury that kept him out of action for a long time when he was a player for the Strasbourg hooker team last, but today, with the beginning of 2025, the player is recovering from the injury and wants to return to the right ways of proving himself.

The player joined the French Ligue 1 in the 2018/019 season to Strasbourg after being a player for Lille and after spending five seasons in France he managed to score 20 goals in this trip.

At a time when the player's joining the Moroccan club is declining, there is another interest in him from another big club in the south of the continent, Mamelodi Sun Downs, who was linked via press reports to the player was.

Journalist Austin Ditlhobolo confirms the reasons on his Facebook page: “I'm told Wydad AC have decided against signing Lebogang Mothiba after being assessed by Rhulani Mokwena. The 28-year-old Bafana Bafana striker is leaving Morocco & he remains a free-agent”.
