Details: According to The Mirror, 22-year-old Real Madrid central midfielder Jude Bellingham has purchased a one percent stake in the Birmingham Phoenix team for a reported $800,000.
Birmingham Phoenix competes in The Hundred tournament, and its owners—Knighthead Investment Management and Yorkshire—agreed to sell Bellingham half a percent each from their shares.
Bellingham has often spoken about his love for cricket and, as a child, he played seriously for Hagley Cricket Club in Worcestershire.
This season, Bellingham has played 33 matches for Real Madrid, scoring 6 goals and providing 4 assists. His current contract with Los Galácticos runs until 2029, and his transfer value is estimated at €140 million by Transfermarkt.
