Worrying news for the Algerian national team as Granada have confirmed that goalkeeper Luca Zidane sustained a fractured jaw and chin following a collision in their league match against Almería.
The injury occurred during Sunday’s fixture as the goalkeeper was struck in the face, and Granada’s keeper had to leave the pitch urgently before being rushed to the hospital.
In a statement released on Monday, the club detailed the extent of the injury following additional examinations.
“Medical examinations carried out on Luca Zidane, following the concussion he suffered during the last match against UD Almería, reveal that the goalkeeper also has a fractured jaw and chin,” the Andalusian club stated.
