Wolves Reject Besiktas’ €15m Bid for Arokodare
Wolverhampton Wanderers have rejected a €15 million offer from Turkish champions Besiktas for Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare, Soccernet.ng reports.
Besiktas are searching for a new number 9 after Tammy Abraham ended his loan spell early to join Aston Villa, leaving coach Sergen Yalçın short of attacking options. The Turkish side have reportedly opened talks with Wolves in a bid to sign Arokodare before the winter transfer window closes.
According to Fanatik, Besiktas submitted a €15m proposal, but Wolves turned it down, demanding at least double the amount.
Rob Edwards’ team paid around €26m to sign Arokodare from KRC Genk last summer and are unwilling to sell at a loss so soon.
With Jorge Strand-Larsen moving to Crystal Palace, Wolves also want to keep attacking depth as they battle relegation.
