Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers have made the decision to sack head coach Gary O'Neil after a home defeat to Ipswich Town on Saturday.

Details. Sky Sports News reports that Wolverhampton fired Gary O'Neil following a series of disappointing performances. The latest defeat, 2-1 against Ipswich Town, has dropped the Wolves to 19th place in the Premier League standings.

After 16 matches, the team has only 9 points and is 4 points behind 17th place, currently held by Crystal Palace.

Reminder. Gary O'Neil took over as head coach of Wolverhampton on August 9, 2023. Since then, O'Neil has managed the team in 63 matches, winning 20 of them.
