Wolverhampton captain has become a West Ham transfer target

The centre-back position is one of the positions West Ham intends to work on strengthening in the summer transfer window. Head coach Julen Lopetegui has identified one of the contenders for signing from a rival club.
According to the Daily Mail, the Hammers' eyes have fallen on Wolverhampton centre-back Max Kilman. West Ham have revisited the Wolves captain's candidature as they had been keeping tabs on the 27-year-old since last summer, but a deal was not struck then.
Wolverhampton are not under the pressure of financial fair-play and therefore do not need to sell players, but a good offer from the London club could change the situation. Kilman is valued by his club at £45 million.
As Kilman was signed from non-league club Maidenhead for just £40,000 in August 2018, the eventual transfer fee would be considered almost a net profit under the rules of financial fair-play, although Maidenhead are owed between 10 and 15 per cent of that amount.
