Wojciech Szczęsny refused to sign a contract with Barcelona. What is the reason?

Barcelona triumphed over Real Madrid in the previous round and now stand just a step away from clinching the championship title. Wojciech Szczęsny played a significant role in this achievement, yet his future at the club remains uncertain.
Details: Barcelona has offered the Polish goalkeeper a two-year deal. Speaking on Canal+, Szczęsny admitted that he has not yet agreed to the terms, as he needs time to discuss everything with his family.
Quote: "I won't hide the fact that I've been offered a two-year contract extension. But I have to make this decision together with my family, to choose what is best for us.
Because our family's life no longer revolves solely around Wojtuś. That's how it was for the past ten years or so.
I still haven't decided. Most decisions at home are made by my wife, and I'm not at all ashamed to admit it," Szczęsny stated.
Let's recall: This match will certainly go down in El Clásico history, as for the first time in 82 years, the teams scored six goals in the first half. This is only the fourth such case in history, and the first since 1943.
