According to Kroos, Ronaldo's influence on Saudi football cannot be underestimated:
"Without Ronaldo, nobody would watch the Saudi league. If he left tomorrow, that's exactly what would happen," declared the former Real Madrid player.
Previously, Toni Kroos criticized European footballers who move to Saudi Arabia for financial reasons, claiming that in doing so, they betray football traditions.
Kroos and Ronaldo played together at Real Madrid from 2014 to 2018, until the Portuguese star left Madrid for Juventus.
Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in 2023 and since then has played 127 matches for the Saudi giants, scoring 111 goals and providing 22 assists.
