With a big surprise: Pyramids FC close in on Zamalek target

A source within Pyramids FC has revealed the club’s strong interest in signing Tanzanian forward Clement Muzi from Young Africans to strengthen their attacking line ahead of the upcoming season.
The move comes amid controversy surrounding Wiston Miley’s recent Facebook post, where he thanked the club following their CAF Champions League victory—a message some interpreted as a hint at his potential departure.
Miley’s statement arrives as reports suggest he has received offers from Gulf and African clubs, despite Pyramids’ insistence on retaining him. Meanwhile, his teammate Christian Boccasa hinted that Miley could be close to leaving in search of a more lucrative deal.
Pyramids’ Transfer Strategy
A club insider told Al-Masry Al-Youm: "There is a major focus on reinforcing the attack in the current transfer window to ensure a strong squad for next season."
He added: "Clement Muzi, the Tanzanian striker from Young Africans, is currently the top target to bolster the frontline."
The source clarified: "Strengthening the attack with multiple signings is part of the club’s strategy and is not linked to Miley’s future—whether he stays or leaves. The team aims to reinforce all areas based on the coach’s requirements before the new season kicks off."
Notably, Muzi was also on Zamalek’s radar as a potential summer signing.
