Winds of change: Leon Goretzka decides to leave Bayern
A new chapter in Goretzka's career.
Details: According to Fabrizio Romano on his X social media page, citing Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund, the 30-year-old central midfielder will leave the Munich club this summer as a free agent.
It's reported that Goretzka has made the final decision not to renew his contract with Bayern and has instructed his agents to begin searching for a new club.
Earlier media reports indicated that Italian side Milan are interested in signing Goretzka.
Goretzka joined Bayern in 2018 from Schalke as a free agent. He has made 292 appearances for the Munich side, scoring 47 goals and providing 48 assists. His current contract with Bayern runs until the summer of 2026, and his market value, according to Transfermarkt, is estimated at 15 million euros.
