Will Trump enter the ring? Fury preparing a surprise ahead of his fight with Joshua
Former heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury intends to make a bold offer to US President Donald Trump ahead of his long-awaited fight with Anthony Joshua. The Briton wants the American leader himself to accompany him to the ring before the bout, which will take place on December 11 at Cardiff's Principality Stadium.
Fury and Trump met in June at the UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House. Since then, the British boxer has referred to the US president as his friend and even appeared wearing a cap bearing the inscription "Donald Trump for Prime Minister".
"I'll definitely make that offer to my old buddy, old pal, and we'll see if he's available," Fury said. However, the boxer admitted that Trump's invitation is unlikely to be accepted because of his current duties as US president.
Fury also said he has no intention of retiring after his fight with Joshua. Moreover, he views the upcoming bout merely as preparation for a third meeting with Oleksandr Usyk. The Ukrainian defeated the Briton twice in 2024 and remains unbeaten as a professional.
