Will the European return have to wait? Al-Ittihad rejects Fenerbahce offer for N’Golo Kanté
Al-Ittihad has no intention of letting go of its star player.
Details: According to insider Nicolò Schira, Saudi side Al-Ittihad has refused to sell French midfielder N’Golo Kanté, turning down an offer from Turkish giants Fenerbahce.
The club emphasized it has no plans to part ways with a key member of its squad, despite interest from other teams.
It's worth noting that Kanté has been playing for Al-Ittihad since June 2023, making around 100 appearances and scoring nine goals. This season, the Frenchman has featured in 21 matches for the Saudi club, finding the net just once—in a Saudi Pro League clash against Al-Najma. Transfermarkt currently values the midfielder at €4.5 million.
For the record: A curious incident recently occurred in the Saudi Pro League. During a match against Damac, Al-Ittihad midfielder Fabinho tried to substitute himself to avoid being sent off.
