Will Jayden Adams Thrive or Fade at Star-Studded Sundowns?

Mamelodi Sundowns has signed 23-year-old Jayden Adams from Stellenbosch FC, making him the club's third player in recent years. Adams is noted for his creative play, and he recorded 13 assists last season, demonstrating his ability to burst past defenses and help the squad attack successfully.

Teboho Mokoena, Marcello Allende, and Neo Maema are among the standout performers in Sundowns' already potent midfield. It will thus be difficult for Adams to get consistent playing time. The strategies used by coach Miguel Cardoso will force Adams to change swiftly and demonstrate his worth as one of these seasoned players.

Adams’ ability to play different positions might help him take on attacking roles or even play as a wide playmaker. But his success at Sundowns will depend on whether he can perform as well as he did at Stellenbosch, now in a much tougher league. With Sundowns playing in six major tournaments, including the CAF Champions League, Adams adds depth to the team, but it’s unclear how much he’ll contribute right away.

Can the young midfielder step up and prove himself, or will he struggle to stand out in a team full of talent? Sundowns’ busy schedule might give him opportunities, but the challenge is still huge for the rising star.
