Will he win the Ballon d'Or? Neymar names the world's best footballer
Neymar has publicly declared Lamine Yamal the best footballer in the world right now. The Brazilian posted a comparative statistical graphic on social media, backing the Barcelona star in the race for the Ballon d'Or.
The image compared Neymar's numbers for PSG in the 2017/18 season with Yamal's performances for the Catalan giants at the start of the current campaign. The Brazilian scored 25 goals and provided 16 assists in 27 matches. The Spanish winger, meanwhile, had eight goals and nine assists in the first ten games of the season.
By accompanying the post with the comparison, Neymar made his position crystal clear: “Lamine Yamal is the best in the world.” The Brazilian has thus joined those who view the young Spaniard as one of the leading contenders for individual honors.
