Memphis Depay could soon find himself without a club, as his contract with Corinthians is set to expire this coming summer. Despite a recent triumph in the Brazilian Cup, the Netherlands national team striker is unexpectedly at risk of leaving the club in the coming months.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Depay's current deal with Corinthians runs until July this year, but the Brazilian club's management has yet to reach out to the player regarding a contract extension. As a result, the forward is now entering the final six months of his contract, free to negotiate with other teams and open to various career options.
For the record, the 31-year-old striker is the Netherlands' all-time leading goal scorer, having netted 55 goals for the national team.
