The bout between former champion Deontay Wilder and heavyweight boxer Curtis Harper has been canceled.

Details. According to World Boxing News, citing Deontay’s manager Shelly Finkel, the fight will not take place.

The fight was initially set to be confirmed in January for the American streaming service BLK Prime. However, wildfires in California prevented the official press conference in Los Angeles with the media, and Wilder's plans have since changed.

Finkel, however, did not answer whether Wilder has decided to retire after this.

Reminder. The fight between Wilder and Harper was scheduled for April 26 in Atlanta, USA.

Wilder last fought in June, losing to Zhilei Zhang. Deontay has lost four of his last five bouts.

Previously, Dillian Whyte called Wilder the greatest fraud in boxing history.
