Who will the USA play against? The draw for the Olympic basketball tournaments has taken place

The draw for the basketball tournaments at the 2024 Olympics, both for men and women, took place in Munich.

As a reminder, in the Olympic basketball tournaments, 12 national teams compete for medals, divided into three groups.

Results of the men's tournament draw

• Group A: Australia, Canada, winner of the qualifying tournament in Greece, winner of the qualifying tournament in Spain
• Group B: France, Germany, Japan, winner of the qualifying tournament in Latvia
• Group C: USA, Serbia, South Sudan, winner of the qualifying tournament in Puerto Rico

The qualifying tournaments will take place from July 2 to July 7. In each of these tournaments, 6 national teams will compete for a spot in the Olympics. Here is a reminder of the participants.

• Qualifying tournament in Greece: Slovenia, Egypt, New Zealand, Greece, Croatia, Dominican Republic
• Qualifying tournament in Latvia: Georgia, Philippines, Latvia, Brazil, Cameroon, Montenegro
• Qualifying tournament in Spain: Lebanon, Angola, Spain, Finland, Poland, Bahamas
• Qualifying tournament in Puerto Rico: Mexico, Ivory Coast, Lithuania, Italy, Puerto Rico, Bahrain

The Summer Olympic Games in Paris will take place from July 26 to August 11.
