Who got the toughest luck? Supercomputer reveals which team faces the hardest Premier League start


In just under two months, the new Premier League season kicks off. While the campaign is lengthy, every club is eager to get off to a flying start. But for some, early hurdles could prove especially daunting.
Details: The statistical platform Opta analyzed the first five rounds of the Premier League based on the strength of opposition, and Manchester United have been handed the toughest opening schedule—with an average opponent difficulty of 94.6 out of 100.
In their first five fixtures, Ruben Amorim’s side will host Arsenal, Burnley, and Chelsea, while also traveling to face Fulham and Manchester City.
Interestingly, the Gunners come in second. They will travel to Liverpool and welcome Leeds, Nottingham Forest, and Manchester City at home.
