These 12 spots will be distributed as follows: the winners of the Champions League from 2021 to 2024 (Chelsea, Real Madrid, Manchester City, and the winner of the current season), plus 8 teams based on the club ranking over a 4-year period.

Alternatively, 9 teams based on ranking if Real Madrid or Manchester City win the Champions League in 2023/24 (Chelsea is not participating in the current Euro season) or if one of the top 8 ranked teams wins.

A limit of two teams per country has been imposed for the 2025 Club World Cup, with an exception if three or four clubs from one country win the top tournament in their respective continents.
