Just a few days ago, Manchester United wrapped up their Premier League season, and already on May 28, they played a friendly match.

The Red Devils faced off against the ASEAN All-Stars—a team featuring the top players from Southeast Asian national squads and standout talents from regional leagues. This year, the team is managed by Kim Sang-sik, who also leads the Vietnam national team.

Despite a disappointing season, Manchester United were considered clear favourites for this clash. However, the team managed to pull off the "impossible"—they lost. The ASEAN All-Stars defeated the Red Devils 1-0.

And it’s worth noting the English side fielded many first-team regulars: Onana, Maguire, Dorgu, Casemiro, Ugarte, Dalot, Højlund, and others. Several key players, including Bruno Fernandes, also came on as substitutes.

In just a few days, on May 30, Manchester United will take on the Hong Kong national team. Kickoff is set for 14:00 Central European Time.

Reminder: On Friday, a Manchester United board meeting took place with Amorim in attendance. That was when the possible sale of Garnacho was discussed, and it’s likely the Portuguese manager received the green light to part ways with the Argentine.
