What he achieved with Bayer. Thierry Henry comments on Xabi Alonso’s situation

Real Madrid’s 2–1 defeat to Manchester City has increased the pressure on Xabi Alonso once again, and Thierry Henry has offered his perspective.

Details: Speaking on CBS, he said he feels sorry for the Spanish coach, noting that everyone saw what Alonso was able to build and accomplish at Bayer, where he had players who were willing to listen to him.

Quote: I feel sorry for Xabi Alonso, because you could see what he was able to achieve with Bayer when he had the opportunity to coach a team that was ready to LISTEN to what he wanted to do, Henry said.

For the record, the Spanish coach has become the fastest Real manager to suffer two Champions League defeats, reaching that mark in just six matches. The previous quickest was Santiago Solari.
