What future for Hamed Traoré at OM? 225foot

Hamed Traoré, one of Marseille's best signings during the last summer transfer window, was presented as the long-awaited attacking solution for the club. Arriving on loan from Bournemouth with a mandatory purchase option, the 25-year-old Ivory Coast international was seen as a real hope to revitalize the Marseille attack.

Since his arrival, Traoré has been hampered by a series of injuries, having played only one official match. This long period of unavailability is exasperating the Marseille management, who remain obligated to respect the purchase option set by the English club.

Although the striker has resumed training, a return to the first team squad is not imminent, leaving his immediate future uncertain. Former Ivory Coast international Amara Diané has reacted to Hamed's current situation. According to him, caution is advised. In an exclusive interview with Africafoot, he stated,

“Hamed is a very talented player, but he first needs to regain his health and confidence. Staying at a club where he doesn't play risks hindering his career. A move to a club that guarantees playing time, even a less prestigious one in Spain, Italy, or England, would allow him to get back on track and regain his value,” he said.

OM is therefore considering a departure as early as the winter transfer window, while for Traoré, the priority remains regaining fitness and consistency, a prerequisite for revitalizing his career.
