What does Orbit College FC need to do to improve its relegation game?

Orbit College FC coach, Pogiso Makhoye, has revealed what he believes his team needs to do to get promoted and compete in the Betway Premiership again.

Orbit College FC is now engaged in a long race with Cape Town City FC and Casric Stars for promotion to the Betway Premiership through the PSL Promotional/Relegation Playoffs.

Makhoye believes their upcoming away match against Casric on Saturday, 21 June, will decide their promotion fate.

“By next Saturday, our match sharpness will return. We can go to Solomon Mahlangu Stadium and surprise Casric—we perform well on the road,” Makhoye stated.

Why Orbit College’s Coach Isn’t Concerned About Facing Casric Away

“Playing away doesn’t worry me—it actually motivates us more. I told the players this next game is crucial. We must win in KwaMhlanga so that when we return home, we can secure promotion,” he added.

Makhoye Stresses Results Over Style

“Whether it’s the Betway Premiership or Motsepe Foundation Championship, this mini-league is high-stakes. Pretty football doesn’t matter—what counts is earning three points and securing top-flight status. Every point is vital; if we can’t win, we’ll take a draw.”

Reflecting on their 0-0 draw with CT City at Cape Town Stadium, he said: “We knew the pitch was large, and with our pace, a win would’ve been a bonus. But protecting our point was key. One win and consistent draws could be enough—six points might seal promotion.”
