Lampard’s success with Coventry City has not gone unnoticed.

Details: According to TalkSport, 47-year-old Coventry City head coach Frank Lampard is viewed as one of the main contenders for the Crystal Palace managerial role, with current boss Oliver Glasner set to depart the club.

One of the major obstacles for Palace’s management in securing Lampard is his current position at Coventry City, a side with a strong chance of securing Premier League promotion next season. So far, Crystal Palace’s board has not made any official offers to Lampard.

Frank Lampard took charge of Coventry City in 2024. He has overseen 64 matches at the helm, recording 35 wins, 12 draws, and 17 defeats. Coventry currently sits atop the EFL Championship table with 58 points and is seen as the frontrunner for Premier League promotion.

Lampard’s current contract with Coventry runs until 2029.

Reminder: In search of a replacement: Crystal Palace identifies Andoni Iraola as Oliver Glasner's successor
