What a masterpiece! Arthur Avom saves Lorient from defeat against Lille
Equaliser in added time
The Cameroonian international scored a splendid goal on 8 March in the French Ligue 1.
With FC Lorient on the brink of defeat at Lille on the matchday 25 of the championship, Arthur Avom saved his team. The Cameroonian midfielder distinguished himself at the very end of the match to give Lorient a draw.
Following a long-range free kick, the ball reached Lille's penalty area before the defence cleared it, believing they had averted the danger. But Arthur Avom sent a powerful shot into the top corner of Berke Ozer's goal in the 93rd minute, making it 1-1.
Not only did the 21-year-old Cameroonian earn Lorient a valuable point, but he also opened his Ligue 1 account for the season.
