What a duo. Madueke and Palmer repeat a landmark achievement in the EPL

Chelsea demolished Wolverhampton in the 2nd round of the English Premier League with a 6-2 victory.

The standout performers of the match were Noni Madueke and Cole Palmer. Palmer not only scored a goal but also provided 3 assists to Madueke.

Interestingly, this is only the fifth time in Premier League history that a player has scored a hat-trick in a league match, with all assists coming from the same teammate.

Previously, this was achieved by:

• 1995: Mike Newell assisting Alan Shearer against Coventry;
• 1995: Stan Collymore assisting Robbie Fowler against Arsenal;
• 2003: Thierry Henry assisting Fredrik Ljungberg against Sunderland;
• 2020: Harry Kane assisting Son Heung-min against Southampton.
