Details: Real's Uruguayan midfielder Federico Valverde admitted that recent criticism and setbacks have hit the squad hard.
"In the past few weeks, we've eaten a lot of sh*t," Valverde stated candidly. "But it helped us grow both as individuals and as a united team."
It's worth noting that Valverde was one of the standout performers in the match. The Uruguayan effectively put the result beyond doubt by scoring Real's third goal after a pass from Carreras. Overall, this was only his second goal of the season, having played 33 matches for Real across all competitions.
Reminder: Vinícius Júnior delivered a historic brace in the match against Real Sociedad.
