West Ham Set to Seek FIFA Compensation After Wan-Bissaka Misses FA Cup Clash
West Ham United are reportedly planning to file a complaint and seek compensation from FIFA after Aaron Wan-Bissaka missed their FA Cup quarter-final clash against Leeds United.
The 28-year-old defender was unavailable for the game after helping the Democratic Republic of the Congo national team secure their first World Cup qualification in 52 years on Tuesday.
Reports indicate that more than 48 hours after DR Congo’s historic qualification, several players, including Wan-Bissaka, have yet to return to their clubs. West Ham are frustrated by the absence and are now seeking formal compensation from FIFA for the disruption caused to their FA Cup campaign.
West Ham were held to a 2–2 draw in regulation time but ultimately lost 4–2 on penalties to Leeds United, adding to the frustration over Wan-Bissaka’s absence.
