West Ham United have reportedly entered discussions with Sunderland over a potential loan move for Ivory Coast winger Simon Adingra as they continue reshaping their squad for the 2026/27 season.

According to Sky Sports journalist Keith Downie, the Hammers have made an initial approach to explore the possibility of bringing Adingra to the London Stadium on a temporary deal during the current transfer window.

West Ham are eager to strengthen their attacking options following a difficult campaign that ended in relegation from the Premier League.

The Ivorian winger joined Sunderland last summer from Brighton & Hove Albion in a transfer reportedly worth around £20 million.

Although he struggled to establish himself as a regular starter during the first half of the season, Adingra spent the latter part of the campaign on loan with French side AS Monaco, where he gained valuable playing time and continued his development.

West Ham are now assessing whether a loan deal can be agreed with Sunderland, though discussions are still believed to be at an early stage.
