The future of West Ham manager Julen Lopetegui has been shrouded in uncertainty for some time now, but there's a reason why the "Hammers" bosses are delaying a decision on his potential dismissal.
Details: According to BBC Sport Editor Phil McNulty, Lopetegui may feel secure in the short term due to the hefty compensation package he is likely to receive if he were to be sacked prematurely.
Quote: "I don't think Lopetegui is going to be sacked this week. West Ham owners are not known for their decisiveness when it comes to managers, and I suspect he could demand a significant compensation package given that he's only been in the job for a few months," McNulty quoted by westhamzone.com.
Reminder: Earlier reports had already suggested potential replacements for Lopetegui, including former Borussia Dortmund coach Edin Terzic and ex-Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri.
