West Ham has agreed a deal with Wolverhampton to buy the defender, but for a bigger fee
Despite disagreements between West Ham and Wolverhampton at certain stages in the transfer of Max Kilman, the sides have still managed to agree a move for the centre-back to London.
According to Sky Sports, the clubs have already set a transfer fee, but it is not the £25million previously reported, but £40million. The 27-year-old Wolverhampton centre-back still has to undergo a medical and settle all personal aspects of his contract.
West Ham intend to finalise all the legal nuances of Kilman's move to the Hammers this weekend, as they have already reached an agreement with the defender's club in London.
The Wolverhampton centre-back will not be the last transfer to the centre of West Ham's defence. Julen Lopetegui's team are also in talks to sign Nice's Jean-Claire Todibo, but there is still interest in Lyon defender Jack O'Brien.
