West Ham forward Michail Antonio heads to Dubai for injury rehab after horror crash
West Ham striker Michail Antonio is continuing his recovery from the serious injury he suffered in a horrific car accident last December. The forward is now flying to Dubai to undergo rehabilitation, The Sun reports.
Antonio will train at a specialized recovery facility in the UAE, spending two weeks there before returning on February 20.
The Jamaican international was involved in a terrifying crash in December while driving his Ferrari. Rescuers struggled to extract him from the wrecked vehicle before he was airlifted to the hospital. The crash left him with a broken leg, sidelining him for an extended period.
Antonio’s future at West Ham remains uncertain, as his contract expires this summer, and the club has yet to decide on an extension.
This season, Antonio has made 15 appearances, scoring one goal and providing one assist. In total, he has played 323 matches for the Hammers, scoring 83 goals and delivering 40 assists. His biggest achievement with the club came in 2023, when he helped West Ham win the UEFA Europa Conference League.
