"We're both expecting a call." Zhilei spoke out about the possibility of a rematch with Parker

Chinese heavyweight Zhang Zhilei shared his thoughts on a possible rematch with interim WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker.

Quote: "I don’t have a strict deadline by which I need to activate the rematch clause. Everyone remembers what happened after the fight with Parker. I had a bout with Wilder, but I was informed that the rematch clause is still valid. I hope that's the case, and we can meet in the ring again soon.

Parker and I have one thing in common: we don’t pick our opponents and are ready to fight whoever is placed in front of us. That’s why we have mutual respect for each other. We’re both waiting for a call or an email with the news," Zhilei said.

Reminder: In March Parker defeated Zhilei by majority decision.

Earlier, Parker’s promoter, David Higgins, mentioned that his client wants to be the next opponent of IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois.
