West Ham has officially announced the signing of Nice's star defender Jean-Clair Todibo.
The 24-year-old player joins the “Hammers” from the Ligue 1 club on a one-year loan with an option to buy the contract in the summer of 2025.
For West Ham, the French defender will wear the number 25 shirt.
It was previously reported that this would be a loan with an obligation to buy for €40 million. Additionally, the agreement is expected to include a percentage for Nice in the event of Todibo's future sale.
Manchester United had also shown interest in Todibo earlier, but the transfer became impossible due to the clubs having the same owners.
At West Ham, the Frenchman will replace Kurt Zouma, who has agreed to move to Al-Shabab from the UAE.
