Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, Samkelo, has emphasised that their team was not doing badly last season, but that they were lacking in certain areas that they need to improve on in order for the team to perform better until the end of the season. Kaizer Chiefs have only won eight of their last 24 Betway Premiership matches, losing ten and drawing six.

In a perhaps slightly better performance in the Nedbank Championship, Kaizer Chiefs managed to reach the semi-finals of the tournament this season, giving Amakhosi little hope of them achieving a championship before the end of the season.

What aspect did Zwane point out as needing improvement?

The key aspect that led them to lose so many points, according to Zwane, was that they didn't capitalise on scoring opportunities and also made frequent and persistent mistakes.

I think we haven’t been playing badly the whole season. It’s just that maybe we are lacking in finishing and some mistakes have led to goals.

Zwane said.

So overall, I don’t think it’s a problem where we don’t know what’s happening. We can see that we just need to finish our chances and avoid mistakes, I personally feel the recent patch we are going through right now is just because of minor mistakes that led to goals and missing chances.

Zwane concluded.
