A truly unpleasant sight for Galacticos fans.

Details: Yesterday, after Real Madrid's 2-0 victory over Real Oviedo, Galacticos forward Kylian Mbappé and head coach Álvaro Arbeloa had a heated exchange during their respective flash interviews.

It all started when a journalist asked Mbappé why the Frenchman had been getting so little playing time lately. He replied:

“I'm 100% fit and ready to play. Why didn't I play? Ask the coach.”

Arbeloa didn't stay silent, and at the press conference he fired back at Mbappé:

“A player who, just four days ago, couldn't even make the squad shouldn't be starting.”

Mbappé responded to these comments, saying:

“I was ready to start, but Arbeloa told me that right now I'm the fourth-choice striker.”

However, Arbeloa immediately denied these claims:

“I never said anything like that to him.”

The spat ended with some sharp jabs at each other:

Mbappé: “In the first half of the season we played better (with a different coach).”

Arbeloa responded in turn:

“Mbappé also scored more goals in the first half of the season.”

What's happening at Real is clearly not sitting well with either the players or the Galacticos supporters. It seems the club's disastrous season may well be down to the toxic atmosphere in the dressing room, as this isn't the first time players have clashed with the coach.
