"We have a very good team for the future". Ten Hag commented on the victory over Liverpool in FA Cup

The Manchester United head coach commented on the hard-fought victory over Liverpool (4:3) in the quarterfinals of the FA Cup.

"Despite all the injuries we have, all the problems - yesterday, the setback with Jonny Evans in the last minute of the training and we have to adjust. Amad didn't train for many weeks, he came in and I thought he played great. But we get the results. Where we were in the autumn we couldn't do that.

I've said for many weeks we have a team for the future that's very good. Coming up, players who are progressing very good - like Dalot, Kobbie, Garnacho. But with all the others, like Bruno, Rashford, I can mention more, fantastic, very good job. You can see the potential.

Rashford is resilient to keep going. Normally he is finishing such moments [as the chance right at the end of normal time]. He kept working, kept going, another chance, another chance and I think that inspired the other players.

The first 35 minutes I think was the best minutes from our season. We were really there, acting as a team. But then gaps in between the lines and you can't allow this against Liverpool. Then they outplay you. And also after half-time, it continues. We had to change. We went into the risk, we went into one against one, and the players were wonderful - the mentality, the attitude was so great." ten Hag said after match.

In the FA Cup semifinals, Erik ten Hag's team will face Coventry. In the other pairing, representatives from the Premier League, Manchester City and Chelsea, will go head-to-head.
