FC Nantes head coach Michel Der Zakarian has admitted that the club has been unable to contact Egypt international Mostafa Mohamed, who remains absent from the team's pre-season preparations.

Speaking ahead of Nantes' second pre-season friendly against FC Lorient on Saturday, the experienced coach revealed that neither he nor the club knows the striker's current whereabouts.

"We don't know where Mostafa Mohamed is. We try to contact him, but sometimes he doesn't answer." "The club has been trying to get in touch with him. I haven't called him myself, and sometimes there is simply no response."
