"We Are Awaiting the Final Decision" – CAF President Addresses 2025 AFCON Final Dispute

CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe has confirmed that the Confederation of African Football is still awaiting the verdict from the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) regarding the dispute surrounding the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final between Morocco and Senegal.

Speaking in Johannesburg on Wednesday, Motsepe explained that CAF will respect the outcome of the legal process before making any further decisions.

"Regarding the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations title, we are awaiting the final decision from the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) concerning the dispute from the AFCON final between Morocco and Senegal," Motsepe said.
