WAFU B U20 Women: Nigeria defeats Benin and claims the trophy
Nigeria secured a 1-0 victory against the Republic of Benin in the final match of the WAFU B tournament, held in Adjouhoun, Benin.
The Nigerian U20 team has made history in West African women's football.
The only goal of the match came in the 16th minute, thanks to Ramotalahi Kareem, whose clinical finish proved decisive, allowing Nigeria to maintain their lead and thus secure their fourth consecutive victory in the competition.
The Nigerians had previously defeated Ghana and Benin in the group stages, before repeating this feat in the decisive final match to clinch the title with a perfect record: four wins in four matches.
The Nigerian team displayed impressive team spirit, exemplary tactical discipline and remarkable attacking talent, conceding very few opportunities while maintaining control of every match.
