WAFU B CAF Women’s Champions League Qualifiers: USFA secure their place in the semi-finals following a resounding victory over ASKO
The Burkinabe side secured a 5–0 victory over their Togolese counterparts on Saturday 29 August at the Stade du 04 Août.
The WAFU B qualifying tournament for the CAF Women’s Champions League continues in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. The final Group A fixture took place this Saturday.
This match pitted Burkina Faso’s USFA against Togo’s ASKO. In front of their home crowd, the Burkina Faso women dictated the pace throughout the match. Yeboah Comfort opened the scoring for USFA in the 5th minute, making it 1–0, before doubling the lead in the 20th minute to make it 2–0.
Dielawalea Sow added to the Burkinabe lead in the 26th minute, making it 3–0, and Nana Sarata scored the fourth goal before half-time. Deborah Guira sealed the victory for USFA in the 54th minute, making it 5–0.
With these two wins from two matches in Group A, USFA have qualified for the semi-finals of the WAFU B tournament. Dynamique FC have also secured their place in the last four with just one point, thanks to ASKO’s heavy defeat.
