EDO Queens and Ampem Darkoa secured their places in the final after dominating their respective opponents in the semi-finals of the tournament held in Burkina Faso.

Nigeria’s EDO Queens overcame the host nation’s side, USFA, to reach the final. The EDO Queens girls thrashed their Burkinabe opponents 5–1 at the Stade du 04 Août in Ouagadougou.

Meanwhile, Ghana’s Ampem Darkoa beat Benin’s Dynamique FC to qualify for the final. The Ghanaians controlled the match from start to finish to win 4–1.

This final line-up comes as little surprise. It confirms the impressive run of form shown by Ampem Darkoa and EDO Queens since the tournament kicked off in Ouagadougou.

Both teams, who were drawn in Group B, distinguished themselves with impressive performances during the group stage. Whilst Ampem Darkoa had beaten EDO Queens 2–1 on the final matchday of Group B, this rematch in the final promises to be an epic encounter.
