WAFCON 2026: Who Was Named Woman of the Match in Côte d'Ivoire's 2-1 Victory Over Tanzania?
Côte d'Ivoire forward N'Sira Ouédraogo was named the official Woman of the Match after delivering an outstanding performance in her side's 2-1 victory over Tanzania at the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
The talented attacker played a key role in helping the Lady Elephants secure all three points and finish at the top of Group B.
Ouédraogo opened the scoring late in the first half, calmly finishing after being set up by teammate Ines Konan to hand Côte d'Ivoire a deserved lead before the interval.
Throughout the contest, the 24-year-old remained a constant threat with her intelligent movement, pace and attacking quality, causing problems for the Tanzanian defence whenever she was on the ball.
In recognition of her match-winning contribution, N'Sira Ouédraogo was deservedly awarded the official Woman of the Match award.
