WAFCON 2026: the fixtures for matchday 3 of Group A
Morocco and Senegal face off, whilst Algeria take on Kenya.
The group stage of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, taking place in Morocco, is heading into its final day. Group A will kick off this final stage.
The clash between Senegal and Morocco is eagerly anticipated this Monday, 3 August, at 8 pm GMT at the Moulay El Hassan Stadium in Rabat. Although Morocco sit top of Group A with 6 points following two wins from as many matches, anything is still possible.
Senegal’s Lionesses have three points following one defeat and one victory in their first two matches. A slip-up by Morocco against Senegal could shake up the standings in Group A.
Similarly, Algeria, who face Kenya on 3 August, also have three points following one victory and one defeat. The slightest slip-up in this group could therefore prove costly.
The second match will see Algeria take on Kenya at 8 pm GMT.
Group A standings:
- Morocco – 6 points
- Algeria – 3 points
- Senegal – 3 points
- Kenya – 0 point
