WAFCON 2026: the first semi-final fixture has been confirmed

Morocco will take on Cameroon in the last four of the tournament for a place in the final.

The semi-finals of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations are beginning to take shape. The first semi-final fixture will see a clash between Morocco, the host nation, and Cameroon on 12 August.

The Atlas Lionesses secured their place in the last four after knocking out South Africa on Saturday 8 August in the quarter-finals. For their part, the Indomitable Lionesses secured their place on Sunday 9 August by knocking out the defending champions, Nigeria.

Morocco, runners-up in the last Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, are dreaming of lifting the trophy this year. Like their opponents, Cameroon have high hopes for the tournament.
